Berlin: Ribal Al-Assad discusses plans to bring peaceful transitional democratic change in Syria with CDU's Parliamentary Spokesman for Foreign Affairs

Ribal Al-Assad, the Director of the ODFS, had a meeting with German CDU MP Philipp Mißfelder in Berlin. They had a wide ranging discussion on the prospects of democratic reform in Syria and the Middle East.

Mr Mißfelder is a Member of the German Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee, and is the CDU's Parliamentary spokesman on Foreign Affairs. He is also a Member of the Präsidium of the CDU (the highest federal body) and Chairman of the CDU's Young Union.

Ribal said, "I was delighted and honoured to meet MP Philipp Mißfelder, who is a rising star in German politics. We had an excellent discussion on bringing peaceful transitional democratic change in Syria and challenging extremism in the Middle East. I look forward to working with him on these issues in the future."
