Ribal Al-Assad calls on the Syrian regime to recognise Kurds as citizens of Syria with full rights in CNN interview

Ribal Al-Assad, the Director of the ODFS, has reiterated his long held view that the Syrian Kurds must be recognised as citizens of Syria with full rights in an interview with CNN online.
He told CNN online:
"They (Syrian regime) can't suddenly give the Kurds freedom to celebrate Nowruz without expecting them to ask for their other rights, like owning an ID card or using their own language. The Syrian secret service and police are very good at dividing people, but most Kurds want to be part of Syria."
